DESCRIPTION: Chlorella is a naturally occurring green algae that is cultivated throughout the world for its nutritional value. As a dietary supplement, it is regarded as a “superfood” because it provides significant amounts of protein, fatty acids, vitamins and minerals.
CAUTION: Large doses and long-term use is not recommended. People with a known allergy to mold spores may experience sensitivity to chlorella. Photosensitivity may occur, which can be countered with wearing sunscreen when outdoors. Check with your doctor before using this product if you are pregnant or nursing, or if you take immunosuppressants to avoid excessive growth of “bad” bacteria in the gut.
