DESCRIPTION:Ā Catās clawĀ is a woody vine that grows in the canopy of the Amazonian rainforest. It is harvested for its inner bark, although sometimes the roots are also collected for processing. The herb is also known asĀ sparrowhawk nailĀ andĀ hawk’s claw, which reference the plantās claw-like thorns.Ā Typical preparations of the bark include extractions, infusions, or decoctions as catās claw tea.
